Happy New Year!

We had a peaceful and happy holiday season. Our decorations went up a little late, but they are beautiful- we are still enjoying them now, although it is probably time to take them down soon... :)

Our families are becoming more and more accepting of us. We were all welcome at a couple of family holiday celebrations, and chose to all travel together to spend Christmas day with one of our families. It’s been a process to get to the place where we can all do that together, openly, and it’s such a relief that much of that initial awkwardness is in the past – I’m planning to write more about what that’s been like very soon.

Over the last week, we’ve enjoyed our new Wii gaming system, playing hours of Mario Kart! I am seeing visions of happy race course graphics in my head even now, as I type this…

Today we all sat down together to make a plan for the new year. We are working toward greater financial independence, and have several new family businesses that are in progress. As a group, we can take advantage of a lot of complimentary skill sets that each person brings – it’s definitely an advantage of polygamy. There is no doubt that it will be an interesting and profitable year!
